
Dear Palm Garden Friends and Family,
As part of our aggressive plan to protect our residents and team members, we began testing for COVID-19 as far back as March 21st. Through this aggressive testing we have identified a positive COVID-19 case at Palm Garden of Port St. Lucie.
We are taking the following steps to avoid further spread of COVID-19 :
- Every new admission is tested and placed in our dedicated observation unit until test result comes back.
- Any resident and/or team member that presents with signs or symptoms of upper respiratory infection is tested and separated from others until the test result comes back.
- Any resident with a positive test is transferred to an acute hospital for proper negative air pressure isolation.
- Any team member with a positive COVID-19 test is immediately removed from the schedule until symptom based strategy timeframe has passed.
We remain in very close communication with local and state health officials to ensure we are taking all appropriate steps to contain and stop this virus.
Know that we will contact you directly if your loved one develops symptoms or has a positive COVID-19 test.
